'The Girl With No Shadow" by Joanne Harris

This is the sequel to "Chocolat" that I really enjoyed a few years ago. At the end of "Chocolat" we were left hanging as to whether Vianne and her daughter Anouk would stay in the little town they'd discovered or whether they would leave.
This answers that question and poses many more. Does Vianne renounce her "gypsy witch" nature forever and is her relationship to her daughter Anouk falling apart now that Anouk is a pre-teen with teenage emotions? And just who is this new mystery woman called "Zozie"? My biggest question was whether Roux would make an appearance in the story.
I read a review that said "The Girl With NoShadow" wasn't as good as "Chocolat" but I beg to differ. I liked it just as much or even more. Some secrets from Vianne's past come to light and you wonder what "bad girl Zozie" will do next. All of this kept me turning pages to the end. Read it and enjoy another fun visit with Vianne and Anouk. You won't be sorry!
