"The Sugar Queen" by Sarah Addison Allen

"The Sugar Queen" is Sarah Addison Allen's second book. The first one was "Garden Spells" which I enjoyed and posted about June 4th.
Good news! "The Sugar Queen" is just as delightful as "Garden Spells". Our main character is Josey Cirrini, 27, who is a "good daughter" who lives with and is under the thumb of her overbearing mother.
One day Josey wakes up and finds out that local waitress and "bad girl" Della Lee Baker has taken up residence in her closet. Why would a stranger sneak into Josey's closet? Good question to ask and the rest of the story explains to you why.
Who exactly is Della Lee and what does she have to do with Josey? Does Josey ever "escape" from her domineering mother and have a life and friends of her own? Take the time to read this book and you'll find out all sorts of secrets in Josey's "closet". This is a book to enjoy on a beach or on the porch on a lazy afternoon! Oh, by the way after you meet Josey's mailman you'll wish you had one just like him!
