A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray

A Great and Terrible Beauty is the first in a trilogy that has something for everyone!

It is cataloged as a Young Adult series but it appeals just as strongly to adult readers as well!

If you like your stories with a little romance, a little history and some fantasy thrown in you will stay awake late into the night for several evenings devouring this series.

Our heroine is young Gemma Doyle who is sent to Spence, a young ladies school in Victorian England, after the death of her mother. You might think a finishing school for young ladies would be quite dull but that is far from what Gemma finds there.

To say much more would give away the plot! If you're looking for a very entertaining way to spend several wintery evenings Gemma's story is a surfire winner!

Thanks for the comment. Do you think the third book was REALLY the end? I think there might be more in store for Gemma!
